Friday Nights: Changing Colors

When Van Gogh started out as an artist in the Netherlands he used mainly dark colours and did not develop his expressive, colourful style until his French years.  Nowadays, some of the colours in his paintings look very different from how they did when he originally applied them, as a result of UV radiation and discolouration of the varnish and pigment. Friday Nights in July were all about how colour can change, in visuals, modern dance, pop music and pictures painted by members of the public. DJ Baby Blue and VJs VeeMee & Sjush gave their own individual colour to the Van Gogh Museum with performances and music.
